The power of Google's applications - part 1

Everyone knows Google, but how many of you know all the web applications that Big G has build?
To discover them is simple...go to www.google.com and look on the upper left corner of the page.
There are some labels, probably all of you have used Images, Maps and maybe News at least one time. But there are many other things under the hood!!
To gain a full access to all services a google acount is needed.
To create a new account is simple:
  1. go to www.google.com (of course)
  2. click "Sign In" on the upper right side of the page
  3. Now click on "Create an account now" and follow the instructions
After having create the account you can use a lot of powerful and intresting applications.
I start talking abuot them starting with those that I use!
The first one is called iGoogle and it consists simply into the Google page customized with the user's gadgets.
The following image is my personal Google page:

You can change the theme and add as many gadgets you want!
If you use the applications after having login with your account, those apps are more useful..
for example, in Google Maps you can save the directions and maps!

The most famous application is surely GMail which is the web mail service provided by BigG.
This is my main personal mail although it is not quite intuitive for a user accustomed to the other classic web mail clients like libero.it and so on!
The only thing I not like on GMail is that (nowadays) not provide a way to ask a receive reports of your sent mails!!

Going on we find another application I use a lot: GReader, it is a news/blogs reader.
For those of you that don't know which is a news reader, well...
..when you surf on the web, you find a lot of intresting blogs but you don't want to store a prefer for each of them! Could not be nice if there is an application that read all blogs for you and present to you a list of the posts in a single page? Well, this is a news reader!

In many years I found a lot of blogs around the world to follow, and using GReader is simple!

Ok, for now the journey into the Google applications ends here, in the next post we discover another intresting services provided by BigG!
